Femme EMPOWER is a project engaging young women and non-binary persons on issues of gender equality and human rights. The project is supported by Erasmus+ under the European Union (EU) programme for education, training, youth and sport. Besides the Icelandic Women‘s Rights Association, five European sister associations take part in the project. These are:

The Aim

Femme EMPOWER aims to create a platform for young women and non-binary persons of different backgrounds to work together on promoting equality and human rights within each participating state and across borders. It invites the participants to educate and inform themselves, be creative, solution oriented and have fun!

Means towards the end

The Femme EMPOWER participants will turn the aim of the project into reality by means of their own actions. While doing that, they are supported by the partner associations which will host the following for the participants in the years 2024 and 2025:

Participation in the Femme EMPOWER project

In total, 30 women and non-binary persons in the age between 18 to 30 years old will be invited to take part in the project in each of the participating states.
