You are invited to “Her Voice” a panel discussion with women of multicultural ethnicity in Iceland. Hosted in celebration of the International Women’s Day in the Gym & Tonic room at KexHostel, Thursday March 7th, at 5 p.m.
Women of multicultural ethnicity are a growing population in Iceland for many reasons. They play a significant role in Icelandic society and it is important that their voices are heard. “Her Voice” is held with the intention to provide an opportunity for multicultural women to share their experience of the Icelandic society. The panel Discussion will focus on themes such as political engagement, accessibility to information on legal rights, language difficulties and visibility in the public sphere.
The event’s moderator is Fríða Rós Valdimarsdóttir, a specialist with the Equality Office in Iceland.
The interviewees are Edythe Mangindin, Claudia Ashonie Wilson, Sanna Magdalena and Zahra Mesbah.
